Artist Biography
Embodying the essence of dark romanticism through her visual artistry, this multi-disciplinary artist creates evocative works that invite viewers into contemplative spaces. Primarily focused on fine art photography while exploring watercolor, collage, and pottery, she crafts visual narratives rich in symbolism and emotional depth.
Drawing inspiration from Dutch Golden Age vanitas and memento mori paintings, her compositions employ carefully selected objects as symbolic vessels, revealing hidden narratives that explore yearning, loss, mythology, and the dark feminine across historical contexts. Her distinctive moody aesthetic creates a visual language that encourages viewers to pause, reflect, and form personal interpretations.
Initially pursuing photography to enhance product imagery for her brand, Soap Cult Australia, she discovered a profound connection to the medium that transcended commercial applications. This artistic evolution led to formal training through a Certificate III in Visual Arts and Diploma of Photography from TAFE Queensland, complemented by communication studies at Griffith University.
Her work was featured in the June 2024 CRE8 Exhibition, showcasing alternative printing and photography techniques. Her graduating class exhibition opens June 19th, 2025 at TAFE Southbank, presenting new explorations in her ongoing artistic dialogue between object, symbolism, and emotional resonance.
